Virtual October - Vector Design

Start here! This is a recommended workshop for nearly everyone looking to learn something at the Innovation Hub. In this live virtual workshop, learn what vector design is, how it’s used, and what you can do with it. Then learn your way around Inkscape, free open-source vector design software.
Vector design uses familiar shapes and lines as the basis for creating a wide variety of art—like the Innovation Hub logo. Based on math, it’s scalable and can be used on websites, business cards, or billboards—and most importantly for makers, it is used in conjunction with laser cutters, CNC routers, and screen printing to make some of the coolest things to come out of the Hub.
This workshop is a prerequisite for several classes at the Hub, including laser cutting and screen printing!

Note:

To participate in this class you will need to download the FREE program Inkscape. Find the Iink here and download the program before the start of class. When you get to the Inkscape website, look for the "Download Now!" button or the "Download" tab.
